AHF Zimbabwe’s Girls Act program hosted a High School Quiz Competition on comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), engaging 65 students from four schools. Supported by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the National AIDS Council, and school leaders, the event aimed to equip students with essential knowledge on safer sex, unplanned pregnancies, family planning, HIV, other STIs, and more.
Moderated by the AHF Youth Coordinator, the competition featured 50 quiz questions, with the moderator providing age-appropriate explanations to ensure students could make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. Given the cultural and religious sensitivities in parts of Marange, AHF Zimbabwe used this interactive format to deliver essential education in an engaging and accessible format.
