The AHF China Girls Act program recently hosted an outdoor team-building event titled “Embracing the Sun: Health, Confidence, and Future,” bringing together 40 Girls Act members for a day of learning, connection, and empowerment.

Participants took part in a variety of activities, including a talent show, sex education sessions, discussions on treatment adherence, and team-building exercises. The event was designed to support girls and young women living with HIV by helping reduce psychological stress, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and emphasizing the importance of staying on treatment.

Beyond the educational activities, the event provided a safe and supportive environment where participants could connect with peers who share similar experiences. By building trust, fostering friendships, and reducing feelings of isolation and stigma, the gathering reinforced the importance of community in helping girls and young women thrive while managing their health.
