Girls Act South Africa, in partnership with Lulu Bakery Treat, hosted a hands-on baking training session for 15 adolescent girls and young women. The session aimed to equip participants with practical baking skills they can use for personal growth, income generation, and future entrepreneurial opportunities.

During the training participants learned essential baking principles and successfully prepared a variety of treats, including snowballs, red velvet cupcakes, and banana loaf. For many, it was their first time learning these skills, making the experience both exciting and inspiring.

Beyond baking, the chef guided the participants on pricing their goods, emphasizing fair and sustainable rates that reflect the cost, effort, and quality of their products. She also encouraged the young women to prioritize their education, reinforcing the importance of staying focused while building skills that can empower their future.
