In Indonesia, where only 14% of youth have knowledge about HIV, access to accurate information remains a challenge. To address this, AHF Indonesia hosted a recent session, Casual Talk: The Role of Adolescents in HIV Prevention, bringing together Girls Act members to discuss HIV prevention and awareness in a safe, inclusive environment.
Key government representatives, including speakers from the Bali Provincial Education Office and the Denpasar City AIDS Commission, emphasized the urgency of empowering young people with essential information. Through these discussions, Girls Act Indonesia members increased awareness of HIV prevention and strengthened partnerships with government and schools.
Through these educational sessions, Girls Act helps to ensure that more young people can protect themselves, stay in school, and build a brighter future.
